General FAQ

Q. What is the quality like of your print products?

A. We print with high quality lithographic printers that give the best results and a professional premium looking card or flyer etc. it is regarded as the benchmark for quality printing. The majority of printers offer an inferior product by using digital printers. For our business cards we use top quality silk card and laminated matt card which give the print the wow factor and will not print on anything less than 350gsm as we believe anything less isn't going to show business in a good light as is too thin for a professional card. We recommend our 400gsm premium cards for giving the best professional looking business card.

Q. How do you print my Leaflets or Flyers?

A. All jobs at CassiniPrint.co.uk are all currently printed lithographically, for superior quality. We take pride in offering you only the very highest quality.

Q. Do you offer discounts for multiple name business cards?

Yes we will give you discounts on multiple name business cards if you have different names or artwork on your card and want different sets. Get in touch via our online quote form on our home page and we will give you a bespoke quote.

We also offer great bulk business card offers for companies who order regularly, simply get in touch and we will let you know what we can do for you.

Q. How come your prices are so low, are they a cheap product?

A. As you know printing is a very competitive industry, lots choose to get ahead by offering a cheaper digital printed produced product to get ahead however we are able to offer Full Colour CMYK Lithographic printing at a much lower than our competitors by running your job with many others (Batch or gang printing). By using this method, we print all standard flyers/leaflets & business cards on a large sheet, with up to 20 others. This significantly reduces the costs of making plates, and other fixed setup costs typically involved in the printing process. The other reason that we are competitive is that we are not a print broker we own the print presses and all the finishing equipment and complete the job from start to finish under one roof.

Q. Do you print other quantities or sizes other than what is shown?

A. Yes we can. Fill out our quote form on the home page with your required quantity for a cost and we'll give you a bespoke quote.

Q. How do I pay for my print order?

A. We use PayPal (it is used by ebay and is 100% secure) as a Credit/Debit Card payment solution for all orders. We are committed to protecting your privacy, I never pass on customers details to any third party company and all payments are made through Paypal so we don't get these Credit/Debit card details.

You do not need to have a Paypal account or create account to make payment with a Credit/Debit card. Simply select paypal as your method of payment, once you confirm your order you will then be directed to paypals secure payment gate way.

A. Our turnaround times differ depending on the product ordered. However we do often get out business card orders the next working day and should arrive to you within 2-4 working days. Specialist cards will take 7-10 though.

Q. What are your artwork recommendations please?

A. We prefer you to send your artwork as a pdf, tiff or high quality jpeg.

It is important that you ensure the following conditions are met:

1) the finished artwork is 300dpi (please ensure you start designing at 300dpi)

2) The finished artwork is in CMYK colour mode

3) There is no text or important logos within 6mm of each edge of the document (backgrounds can go right out to the edges)

4) If saved as a pdf, there are no transparencies, and all fonts are converted to outlines and fully embedded.

Q. How do I send my artwork to you?

A. On the product page of your desired product should include a upload artwork icon to click on to take you to an upload form. There you can upload.

Alternatively you can send via www.yousendit.com or email us. The email address would be artwork@cassiniprint.co.uk

Q. What is the difference between 72dpi and 300dpi?

A. Well Dpi = dots per inch. Computer monitors and TV's show 72dpi, and we print at 300dpi as it is the benchmark resolution for printing to give professional results.

Q. What does RGB and CMYK mean?

A. Right the RGB format. (Red Green Blue) which is the same colour scheme as computer monitors or TV's use. However in commercial print, full colour images are made up of CMYK (Cyan Magenta Yellow Black). We can convert files from RGB to CMYK, however in some colour ranges the new files can have duller, dirtier colours than you can see on your screen. So if you can just check your color mode is CMYK before you start the artwork. Don't worry too much though; there shouldn't be a vast difference between RGB and CMYK.

Q. Do you accept Microsoft Word (or other word processor) created business card artwork?

A. Unfortunately no we don't as these programs in our view don't produce print graphics that would we would deem professional.
